Tuesday, November 3rd from 6am to 6pm - General Election Day

Early voting will be available at several locations beginning October 6th. Find early voting (in-person absentee voting) and election day locations and times for Johnson County by clicking here.

The Greenwood Public Library (via the East Door) will be an early voting and election day location:

Saturday, October 24th: 8am-3pm
Monday, October 26th: 10am-7pm
Tuesday, October 27th:10am-7pm
Wednesday, October 28th: 10am-7pm
Thursday, October 29th: 10am-7pm
Friday, October 30th: 10am-7pm
Saturday, October 31st: 8am-3pm
Tuesday, November 3rd: 6am-6pm

Voter Registration

Monday, October 5th - Deadline to register to vote (if you aren’t already registered).

Not sure of your registration status? Go to https://indianavoters.in.gov/ to register, update, and/or check your status.

Want to register in person or by mail? Use the Indiana Voter Registration Application VRG-7 (en Español) and mail (postmarked on or before October 5th) to:

Absentee Ballot by Mail Application

Thursday, October 22nd at 11:59pm - Deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot by Mail

You can find the absentee ballot by mail application here.

The application can be emailed to johnsoncountyvoter@co.johnson.in.us, faxed to 317-736-3798, mailed to (must be RECEIVED by or on October 22nd regardless of postmark):

Absentee Ballot by Mail Deadline

Tuesday, November 3rd at NOON - Deadline to turn in absentee ballots

Absentee ballots must be received by NOON on this day. Any ballots received after Noon, regardless of the postmarked date, will not be counted in the general election.

If you’re voting by mail, please follow the ballot instructions precisely and mail the ballot as soon as possible. If you’d like to return your absentee ballot in-person, you can do so through November 2nd to:

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm

As of now, the Johnson Co. Voter Registration office will be closed on November 3rd and will not accept dropped off absentee ballots on that day. It may be possible to drop off your absentee ballot at the Franklin Post Office before Noon on November 3rd to have it immediately placed in the Johnson Co. Voter Registration PO box by the deadline. However, it is best to return your absentee ballot ASAP by mail and not wait until close to the deadline.
