My Librarian: Jessica
I’ve always been a big reader. The first books I really remember being obsessed with were Nancy Drew mysteries. I would hide under my covers at night with a flashlight after my mom put me to bed and keep reading! I am a huge Harry Potter fan and decided to become a librarian after reading Nora Robert’s Three Sisters Island trilogy. As a teen librarian I tend to read mostly teen books (though if I were an adult librarian this would probably still be true.) I read mysteries, fantasy, contemporary fiction, romance, thrillers, a little of everything really. I like stories that I get complete immersed in; stories that get my adrenaline pumping, make me laugh, make me cry, and make me think.
When my nose isn’t stuck in a book, you might find me playing with my cats, Gidget and Gadget, watching movies or any number of TV shows (Supernatural, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Chuck, New Girl, The Big Bang Theory, and many, many more), attempting to write my own book, or learning how to skateboard (No, I can’t do any tricks. I’m lucky to move forward without falling off).
A few other random things: I originally went to college to become a singer. I love coffee and Coca-Cola. My favorite food is potatoes, all potatoes. My car’s name is Mel. One of my favorite things is to meet authors and hear them speak.

My Top Picks
Making lists of favorites always makes me feel guilty. I always feel like I'm going to leave a book out and hurt its feelings.
