Staff Picks: Ariana
I have always been a reader and vividly remember reading the Little House on the Prairie and the Harry Potter series with my mother and enjoyed visiting my local public library each week, typically on Fridays after school. I looked forward to these visits all week! As a teenager, I became an avid genealogist and fell in love with all things history. This desire bolstered my love and appreciation for libraries so I eagerly pursued a Masters in History alongside my MLIS degree.
History is the top category I typically read, usually a healthy mixture of fiction and non-fiction. My other top genres include Romance and Fantasy (particularly YA or Romantasy). I recently have developed a passion for listening to non-fiction audio books on Libby or Hoopla while I complete daily tasks or am driving. I also enjoy Besides reading, other hobbies I enjoy include hiking, photography, playing the piano, crafting, cooking and baking.
