Internships at Greenwood Public Library
The Greenwood Public Library offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students wanting to work in libraries or marketing. As a single-branch library with a strong emphasis on programming, our internships are a great opportunity for a wide-range of practical experience whether you are interested in helping promote the library, or working with young or adult patrons.
For undergraduate and graduate students seeking marketing experience, Greenwood Public Library offers internships with our publicity department. Tasks could include updating community calendars with library activities and events, generating copy for library press releases and website, assisting with social media promotion efforts, creating graphics for in-house and online promotions, and assisting with program preparation and execution.
Adult & Teen Services Internships
For Library Science students interested in working in Adult or Teen Services, Greenwood Public Library offers internships with the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience. Our Interns provide reference, readers’ advisory and technology assistance at our reference desk as well as assist with program preparation and execution, writing book reviews and website maintenance. Is there another aspect of public librarianship you are interested in? Contact us, and we will work with you on developing internship goals that fit your interests.
