Scrabble Tournament

Think you're good at Scrabble?  Test your skills at GPL's Scrabble Tournament benefitting children's literacy.

Register for the Adult tournament (ages 16 and up)

Register for the Kids tournament (ages 15 and under)

Teams of 1-2 players are encouraged to register for either the adult or children's amateur tournament.  The tournament will consist of 3 rounds of play with the winning team walking away with a prize.  Snacks will be provided for all players.

Everyone is also invited to observe the NASPA professional tournament running all day long beginning at 9am.  If you're interested in learning more about the professional tournament run by NASPA Director Tim Fish, please contact Jane Weisenbach at

Think you are good at the game of Scrabble?  Test your skills at our Scrabble Tournament.  Come in the morning to watch the official players take on the challenge of competing with others from throughout the Midwest, then in the afternoon you will all get a chance to play. All are welcome to this fun filled day for this iconic word challenge game.  Snacks will be provided and everyone will walk away with a prize! Scrabble enthusiast and NASPA Director Tim Fish will be hosting this event with the proceeds going to Children’s programs at the Library.

WHAT:  A Scrabble tournament

WHERE:  Greenwood Public Library

WHO:  Teams of 1-2 players in either the adult division (ages 16 and up) or children's division (ages 15 and under)

WHY:  Have fun and raise money for children's literacy

HOW:  $5/team paid in advance or the day of the event.  All payments can be dropped off the the 2nd floor reference desk.
