Did you know that reading everyday can reduce stress levels and increase life expectancy? Or that walking just 30 minutes a day can improve cardiovascular fitness and strengthen bones?
 
We’re combining the library’s mission to spread a love of reading with easy ways to foster fit lifestyles with our Healthy Habits Challenge.  It’s a way to have fun, win prizes, and get healthy all at the same time!
 
The challenge – select a themed map to kick off your own adventure.  The goal is to both read and walk 30 minutes each day.  You’ll be able to mark off your activity each day on your map, and there will be special prizes at different milestones throughout the challenge.  If you finish the challenge and reach your destination, you’ll receive a FREE t-shirt and be entered to win one of our grand prizes.  We will also be raffling off prizes at each of our Healthy Habits programs during the challenge including a weekly prize at our Walking Book Club. 
 
The Healthy Habits challenge runs from March 16 - May 9th.
