Monarch

2-4 players and ages 12+.  60+ minutes playing time.
 In Monarch you play as an heir to the throne.  Your mother, the Queen, has lived out her years and will soon pass on the crown.  The time has come for you and your siblings to demonstrate your intelligence,  compassion, bravery, and strength as leaders.  Outperform your siblings to demonstrate your ingenuity and strength.  Choose strategies that will bring prosperity to the land and glory to your court.  Defend the  realm from threats and famine.  Only the player with the most majestic court will be named heir.  During the game each sibling aims to collect cards to add to her court of wise advisors, exotic beasts, and  symbolic garments.  Court cards provide crowns.  The player whose court cards provide the most crowns at the end of the game will be selected to rule, so they must cleverly collect cards that work well together  and avoid those that conflict with one another.  There are many paths to choose from, but only one will become the next Monarch.  Who will reign?

 

Codenames

2-8 players, 4-8 players for competetive and ages 14+.  15 minutes playing time.
The two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents.  Their teammates know the agents only by their codenames.  The teams compete to see who can make contact with all their agents first.  Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board.  Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin. 

 

 

Exploding Kittens

2-5 players and ages 7+.  5-20 minutes playing time.
This game is a highly strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette.  Players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game--unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches.  All the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.

 

King of New York

2-6 players and ages 10+.  60 minutes playing time.
There's always something happening in the city of that never sleeps.  Maybe it's the lights, maybe it's the energy, or maybe it's the giant monsters trying to demolish the place! King of New York introduces lots of new ways to play, while still keeping the core ideas of King of Tokyo.  There are buildings to stomp!  Vengeful military units to destroy!  Six brand new monsters!  Evrey roll of the dice might mean that your monster feels the ouch, as military units open fire.  Will you grab the spotlight and become a Celebrity Superstar?  Or will you become the defender of the city and befriend Lady Liberty?  Each of New York's boroughs has its own charms, but to truly rule the BIg Apple, you have to control Manhattan.  Defeat the other monsters and rule the city... become the King of New York! 

 

Haikubes

Haiku is a beautiful form of Japanese poetry consisting of 17 syllables-- five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five in the third line.  Write your own haiki with a roll of the Haikubes.

Smash Up

2-4 players and ages 12+.   60 minutes playing time.
 What do pirates, ninjas, robots, zombies, aliens, wizards, and some other things have in common?  They're all trying to take over the world!  But they can't do it alone--and they're teaming up.  Every combo brings  a different experience in this fast-paced shufflebuilding game.  Take two 20-card decks, smash them together, and then rock your opponents' faces!  Each fraction has a different style: Pirates move cards.    Zombies come back from the discard.  Dinosaurs are huge.  Each pairing creates different gameplay.  And each game is a different throw-down!  Is Smash Up a game you can live without?  Not if you're awesome.  Choose a side.  Choose two!  And start the carnage! 


 

Pandemic

2-4 players and ages 8+.  60 minutes playing time.
As skilled members of a disease-fighting team, you must keep four deadly diseases at bay while discovering their cures.  You and your teammates will travel across the globe while finding resources for cures.  You must work as a team to succeed.  Pandemic is a cooperative game, all players win or lose together.  The clock is ticking as outbreaks and epidemics fuel the spreading plagues.  Can you find all four cures in time?  The fate of humanity is in your hands! 

 

Deception:  Murder in Hong Kong

4-12 players and ages 12+.  15-20 minutes playing time.
 In this game players find themselves in a scenario of intrigue and murder, deception and deduction.  One player is the Murderer, secretly choosing their weapon and the evidence the leave behind. Another is the  Forensic Scientist who holds the key to convicting the criminal but is only able to express their knowledge through analysis of the scene.  The rest are investigators, interpreting the clues to solve the crime- and  the killer is among them.  Investigators must collaborate and use their wits, their hunches, and their keen deductive insight to correctly identify the means of murder and the key evidence to convict the killer.  The murderer must mislead and confuse the investigators to save themselves.  Do you have what it takes to see through the lies and catch the criminal in your ranks or will they muddy the waters long enough to  get away with murder? 


 

Ticket to Ride

2-5 players and ages 8+.  30-60 minutes playing time.
 Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure.  Players collect cards of various types of train cars that enable them to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America.  The longer the routes,  the more points they earn.  Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.  So climb  aboard for some railroading fun and adventure. 

 

Batman Fluxx

2-6 players and ages 8+.  5-30 minutes playing time.
Have fun with the Dynamic Duo & friends in the card game that's never the same twice!  It all begins with one basic rule:  Draw one card.  Play one card.  As cards are drawn and played from the deck, the rules of the game change, from how many cards you get to play, to hand limits, to trading one card type for another.  

 

 

Sentinels of the Multiverse

2-5 players and ages 8+.  60 minutes playing time.
Play as one of ten heroes, against one of four villians, and the battle takes place in one of four different dynamic environments.  A mad scientist holds the world hostage with his terrifying inventions.  An alien warlord from a far away galaxy brings his limitless army of bizarre minionsto conquer the planet.  A giant rampaging robots cuts a swath of destruction across the coast destroying major population centers.  And who will stand in their way?  A team of heroes, all with impressive powers and abilities stand between the world and the forces of evil.  Will you help them?  

 


Catan

3-4 players and ages 10+.  60 minutes playing time.
Your adventurous settlers seek to tame the remote but rich isle of Catan.  Start by revealing Catan's many harbors and regions.  Guide your settlers to victory by clever trading and cunning development.  Use resource combinations--grain, wool, ore, brick, and lumber-- to buy handy development cards and build roads, settlements, and cities.  Acquire your resources through trades , cards, or lucky dice. 

 

 


 

Sherrif of Nottingham:

3-5 players and ages 14+.  60 minutes playing time.
An exciting game of bluffing, bribery, and smuggling.  As a merchant, you want to make as much profit as you can with your goods, but first you'll have to get past the notorious Sheriff of Nottingham!

 

 

Bob Ross:  Art of Chill

2-4 players and ages 12+.  30 minutes playing time.
Earn "chill points"  by painting landscape features like Happy Little Trees and Almighty Mountains using colors and brushes from your hand of cards.  

 

 

 

Ticket to Ride:  Europe
2-5 players and ages 8+.  30-60 minutes playing time.  
Players attempt to gain the most points through claiming routes and completing paths of routes to Europe.  

 

 

 

Betrayal at House on the Hill
3-6 players and ages 12+. 60 minutes playing time.
Your fear will grow with each tile you place as you investigate a house filled with dreadful monsters and deadly secrets.  As you brave your way through each unique room, you and the other explorers must rely on each other to survive the horrors that await.  But beware.  The house will turn one of you against the rest.  It will take all of your strengths and skills to defeat the traitor and escape the Betrayal at House on the Hill.  

 


Hanabi
2-5 players and ages 8+.  30 minutes playing time.
In this cooperative game, players must launch a Grand Fireworks Finale!  Players can see what cards everyone holds...except their own.  Working together, they must give and receive vital information to play cards in the proper launch sequence.  
 

 

 

Love Letter
2-4 players and ages 14+.  20 minutes playing time.
All of the eligible men (and some of the not-so-young) seek to woo the princess of Tempest.  Unfortunately, she has locked herself in the palace, and you must rely on others to take your romantic letters to her.  Will yours reach her first?  Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction, and luck.  Your goal is to get your love letter into Princess Annette's hands while deflecting the letters from competing suitors.  From a deck of only sixteen cards, each player starts with only one card in hand; one card is removed from play.  On a turn, you draw one card, and play one card, trying to expose others and knock them from the game.  Powerful cards lead to early gains, but you make a target.  


 


Sushi Go
2-5 players and ages 8+.  15 minutes playing time.  
Pass the sushi!  In this fast-playing card game, the goal is to grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by.  Score points for making the most maki rolls or for collecting a full set of sashmi.  Dip your favorite nigiri in wasabi to triple its value.  But be sure to leave room for dessert or else you'll eat into your score.  Gather the most points and consider yourself the sushi master!

2-8 players and ages 8+.  15 minutes playing time.  
Was the okapi discovered before or after America?  Well, it was certainly after Neptune... although... And what if that was actually dated somewhere between the discovery of photosynthesis and DNA?  In Timeline, these are exactly the kind of questions you'll ask yourself each time to try to play one of your cards.   

 



Santorini

Munchkin Deluxe is a humorous take on all things fantasy and roleplaying.  Gamplay is quick and competitive as players try to be the first to get their character from level 1 to level 10.  This is done by fighting monsters, selling items, or using special cards.  A game that's easy to learn, midly strategic, and a quick way to turn friends into enemies.

Ion:  A Compound Building Game
2-7 players and ages 8+.  20-30 minutes playing time.
A card-drafting game about building compounds.  Players are given a hand of ion and elements cards, and must select one of those cards either to bond to a card already on the table, or sell it alone.  Players then pass their remaining hand of cards to an opposing player to start the process over again.  Points are scored based upon the type and quality of neutrally-balanced compounds players are able to construct, and upon sets of noble gases they are able to collect.
